The Accucold LAB11 is a 4.8 cu. ft. (136 L) chest-style ultra-low freezer engineered for pharmacy, vaccine, medication, and life-science storage that needs to hold a stable temperature well below what a standard lab freezer can reach. It's manufactured for Accucold in Denmark by ELCOLD, a specialist in ultra-low cold-chain equipment, and holds a settable range of -50°C to -86°C — deep enough for long-term storage of biological samples, DNA/RNA material, reagents, and select vaccines and antibiotics that require true ultra-low conditions rather than standard -20°C or -30°C freezer storage.

Temperature stability comes from 4.5" thick insulated walls and a digital microprocessor thermostat with a switchable °C/°F display, backed by static manual-defrost cooling and a hermetically sealed, 100% CFC-free compressor. The counterbalanced lift-up door stays open past 45° for hands-free loading, and two removable inner lids shield the contents from ambient air every time the outer lid is opened, reducing the temperature recovery time after each access. A front-mounted defrost drain and steel interior liner keep routine maintenance straightforward.

Because a lapse in ultra-low temperature can mean the loss of irreplaceable samples or regulated inventory, the LAB11 includes both a visual and audible high/low temperature alarm and a separate 9V battery-backed alarm that keeps monitoring the unit through a power outage. A factory-installed keyed lock with two keys restricts access to authorized staff, and four wheels — two of them locking — make it possible to reposition the unit within a lab or pharmacy without a forklift or pallet jack.
