Harloff Premium Large Malignant Hyperthermia Cart with Lab Quality Accucold 2.4 cu ft – MH4200K-AC

Malignant hyperthermia (MH) is a rare but life-threatening reaction to certain anesthesia drugs, and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States (MHAUS) both recommend keeping a dedicated, fully-stocked MH cart within immediate reach of every OR and PACU. The Harloff MH4200K-AC is a streamlined, two-drawer version of Harloff's MH cart line: a built-in lab-quality Accucold refrigerator and mechanical key lock in a base configuration, without the bundled accessory kit sold on Harloff's larger carts — a good fit for facilities that already stock their own waste containers and supply baskets, or want to add accessories separately.

The cart is built on Harloff's 20-gauge powder-coated steel body, sharing the same 48.5"H x 37.5"W x 26"D footprint used across Harloff's 2-drawer MH cart platform, on rolling casters with a removable plastic top. Two 3" storage drawers (23"W x 17"D usable interior) sit above a dedicated compartment housing the pre-installed refrigerator, giving staff organized, drawer-level access to charcoal filters, syringes, catheters, and other nursing and lab-testing supplies.

Cold storage is handled by a built-in Accucold 2.4 cu. ft. lab-quality refrigerator (model FF28LWHMED2) finished in white with a blue control panel. It uses fan-forced cooling for even top-to-bottom temperature control, non-CFC R134a refrigerant, epoxy-coated adjustable wire shelving, and a glycol-filled thermometer probe that meets CDC/VFC cold-chain documentation requirements — important for any facility storing regulated vaccines or medications alongside MH supplies.

Both the drawers and the refrigerator are secured by a mechanical key lock with two keys included. Unlike Harloff's fully-accessorized MH carts, the MH4200K-AC ships as the cart and refrigerator only — no external waste container, wire basket, or chart holders are bundled — which keeps the unit cost down for facilities that plan to add their own accessories or already have them on hand. Harloff's optional locking side cabinets (left and right) are available separately for departments that want additional storage.
