The Harloff AL24CS-5-ELP is part of Harloff's OptimAL medication cart line, built to organize individual patient medication bins for a nursing unit, group home, or long-term care facility while keeping access tightly controlled. The cart holds 24 patient bin drawers (5"W x 9.5"L x 3"H each) organized across three removable, double-tier aluminum cassettes, bin dividers and labels are included, and each cassette lifts out of its pull-out drawer for ergonomic bin loading, restocking, or exchange away from the bedside.

Where the base AL24CS-5 ships with a BEST® key lock, this -ELP configuration upgrades security to Harloff's Electronic Lock with Keypad and Proximity Reader: staff can unlock the cart with a numeric code or by badging in with an existing HID-compatible proximity card (Prox or iClass), and the lock is compatible with Harloff's LockView® 5 software for access management and audit reporting. That means medication access can be tied to individual staff credentials rather than a shared physical key, which matters for facilities tightening controlled-substance and medication-cart accountability.

The cart itself is built from painted aluminum with a hard-baked, heat-sealed powder coat finish, self-closing ball-bearing full-extension drawer slides, corner bumpers, and five ball-bearing casters (one directional, two with brakes) for smooth, stable maneuvering through hallways and nursing stations. A pull-out shelf on the right side gives staff a stable surface for preparing medications, the removable plastic top has integrated push handles, and pre-threaded accessory mounting holes let you add a narcotics drawer (CS-4FLN) or other Harloff accessories as your workflow requires. The cart is latex-free and delivered fully assembled.
