Every viewing panel in the Trimline III line is built the same way: a 14"x17" viewing area lit by three 15-watt daylight-balanced lamps (included), housed in a 3-1/4" deep, baked-on white polyester powder-coat cabinet for a bright, even, non-glare field. Film is held securely by roller-grip retainers that grip without scratching, so techs can swap films quickly between reads without damaging emulsion.

Trimline III's defining feature is film-activated automatic switching — each panel senses when film is loaded and switches itself on, then off again when the film is pulled. That means no panel is ever left burning unattended, no stray light bleeds across a bank of unused panels to distract from the film actually being read, and heat output (and lamp wear) stays minimized. Multi-panel configurations (2-over-2 and larger) add cluster switches so a whole bank can be powered down together when the room isn't in use, and every unit ships with an 8-foot power cord for flexible placement.
