The Wolf X-Ray OptiClear™ Lead Acrylic Mobile Barrier — Regular, 75" x 31" is a rolling radiation-shielding barrier built to protect radiologic technologists, radiologists, and other staff who need to remain in the room during fluoroscopy, C-arm, portable/mobile X-ray, and other interventional imaging procedures. Instead of relying solely on lead aprons and thyroid collars for every exposure, a mobile barrier lets staff step behind a fixed, full-body shield while keeping direct line of sight to the patient and equipment — reducing cumulative radiation exposure over a career of repeated procedures.

This "Regular" configuration measures 75" H x 31" W x 25" D overall and is built around a large, optically clear lead-acrylic viewing window measuring 48" H x 30" W with 0.5 mm lead equivalent protection, so staff can watch the procedure and communicate with the patient without stepping out from behind the shield. Below the clear window, an opaque lower panel adds 0.8 mm lead equivalent protection for full-body coverage, and Wolf sizes the barrier to shield one to two technologists or physicians standing side-by-side.

The clear panel is made from shatter-resistant, optically clear lead-plastic acrylic engineered to stay scratch-resistant and see-through under the heavy daily use typical of a busy imaging suite or cath lab (Wolf recommends its NOVUS #2 plastic polish for routine scratch maintenance). The entire barrier rolls on locking casters, so it can be wheeled between procedure rooms, C-arm bays, or portable X-ray setups and then locked firmly in place to prevent creep during the exposure — giving facilities flexible, reusable shielding that isn't tied to one fixed room.
